President Trump signed an executive order, yesterday, declaring a new national holiday on May 6, 2017. While the order was unexpected, many of Trump’s advisor’s were quoted as saying that they are not surprised by his decision. One top advisor, who did not want to be identified, stated “We all knew it was going to happen…. Just none of us knew when.”
The executive order is said to take immediate effect and all state and federal agencies are expected to be closed, on May 6, 2017, for the ordered observance of the new holiday. While there is still some discussion over the exact name of the holiday, many people are excited about the new holiday.
President Trump is said to have decided on the named for the holiday after viewing the details of an event planned for that day. The monumental event has the entire country excited. It is said that the event is so special, that it took over 20 years to plan. With the President declaring May 6, 2017 a national holiday, the DeWalt and Kotula wedding is definitely the place to be!
It is unclear as to the longterm effects this new holiday will bring but many are hopeful it will be much joy and happiness in the years to come.
